Humbled and proud for first Vette!
Ever since I was a boy, I have always dreamed of owning a Corvette. Now I'm a 52 year old man.
Two days ago, I finally checked off a Bucket List dream and purchased my first Corvette. It's a 1994 C4 Polo Green beauty. It's is FAR from being a show car, but I think it is very very nice!
This purchase happened from a stroke of luck. My brother in law offered it at a fair price and I agreed. If I had been "in the market", I don't think I would have considered a C4 in Polo Green. Now that I have it, I'm realizing how much I like it (it's a Vette fer gawds sake!)
There's a ton of interesting reading about opinions on both "C4's" and Polo Green color. I originally didn't think either were very special. Now as an "owner", I have come to appreciate the combination! As I'm sure everyone agrees, the only opinion that counts is the Corvette Owner.
I appreciate the insight provided by experienced Vette owners on this web-site.
Look forward to being a "somewhat" regular on this forum.
Here's a picture of my new pride and joy. It runs and drives beautiful, and everything works. Even though it has some rough edges, it's "Mint" to me!!

Congratulations! Your story is close to mine. I wanted a Vette but never considered a C4. I wanted a C6 or C5 Z06. Brother found my 94 6 speed convertible pretty much loaded in pretty good shape. I was shocked how far they had come from the first ones that came out when I was in high school.
Your going to love it more every day. Welcome to the addiction!

Congrats on you purchase. My story's similar. Always wanted one, the C3 version I grew up lusting after. My problem was I'm 6 ft 2 and this is the smallest car I've ever considered owning. I thought about a '78 because I liked the back window. Eventually I wanted something more modern, fuel injection, air bags etc. Three weeks ago (at the ripe old age of 56) I took the plunge on a Polo Green 1994 version myself.
I'd been thinking about a convertible, but when I found this 3 miles from where I work I was smitten. I didn't want a stereotypical red Corvette. I always liked this particular color combination, that's what drew me in. I had also read where the C4 was designed with more interior space and still had a spare instead of run-flats like on the C5 I'd also been considering. In hindsight, I'd have never fit into a C3 since I put this one on like a custom tailored suit.
It's pretty much what I would have ordered new for myself if I'd had the money when it was new. Base coupe, base suspension, base power seats, Delco-Bose sound system, electronic climate control and the blue-tinted targa top. It's got the 2:90 rear, which is ok since I wanted a grand-touring machine, not a road rocket. I know what you mean about proud. I can honestly say I'm very pleased with my purchase just under 63k miles, I'm fourth caretaker of the garage kept jewel, 8,995 was what I spent and she had all new rubber to boot. Also, not a squeak or rattle to be found! Hope you have the same smile on your face that I have on mine every time I go for a drive.

Congrats, you captured the car good in the photos.
Kind of reminds me of when they were new to see those angles, and the wheels do fit the car when you look at it that way.
