Always loved the C4 style. The second you look at one, you understand the intention of the car. Purpose built. While certain features of the car are VERY time specific (wheels, instrument clusters), I find the body style completely timeless.

I love the subtle styling of the C4 Corvette. The C4 generation is known as a "modern classic," a huge departure from all previous Corvette designs and unlikely to go out of style, ever... not in my eyes anyway. The C7 styling is very angular and aggressive, which has some appeal but personally I am drawn more to the designs that don't scream "look at me!" I do not own a sports car because I need attention, I just want something that's fun to drive and relatively affordable.
Random people often ask if my 23 year-old car is new -- a nice compliment for sure, but obviously these are not car people.

Still looking good
Was always looking at Corvettes as way out of price. Was looking for 62 Nova, 64 Impala.....Got deal on 86 vert 4x3. What a blast. So I bought wife a 90 coupe auto. Get in , Strap in,Going for a ride. Would like 409 Impala....But we're having fun....What it's all about

Theres not a new, or old, gen of Vettes that I ever hated. I like em all, just to different degrees.

I would love to find a nice chrome bumper C3, still my favorite body style.
You are correct the technology and actually driving of the newer C4 wins out. Than along came the ultimate C4 ZR-1.

Been reading more and more articles about how the C4 is becoming a more desirable vette, while the C5's are starting to get relegated to trailer park status. When I bought my 96 in 1997 the same thing got said about C3's at the time.
True Vette owners don't care, a vette is a vette is a vette...the problem with them is that enough are made that over time you get knuckleheads buying them who shouldn't even own a car let alone a Corvette!
