I saw this 85' C4 sell for almost $10,500 at Barrett Jackson. Bone stock C4 manual tranny. The interior was mint. Not sure if it was redone but it's what I aspire my interior to be. At first, I thought it sold for a lot of money. A few months later now I am not so sure. I think the buyer got a great deal.

First post an many years. I had a 94 that I loved. Sold it, bought a 70 mustang that I restored, sold it. Now I am looking at a Grand Sport with 60k on it, great condition, black interior. What do you thing a fair price would be? Looks like they go anywhere from 20 to 30k, but corvettedna app says 14k which seems low.

I've seen a couple nice 2xxxx mile black coupes sell at auction for around $22k

I haven't been able to find any real sold values except for asking prices. The ones on ebay in the last 6 months have been listed multiple time. KBB doesn't have enough data for a Grand Sport, and I am not sure where else to find sold prices.

Yeah I'm after one now, had a vert 5.0 foxbody stang back in the day, didn't like the wind noise and heat but I'm wondering if a hardtop will solve that? haven't seen many in the wild with a hardtop... Just missed a red on red like yours 2 weekends ago, guy had ran it hot and blown a head, perfect paint and body/interior, went for 2k. He had that in the wheels and tires. Only problem with c4's is finding enough room to store em all!

I eventually decided to forget about it as the top is down all summer waiting for a cruise and all winter its in storage. Talking to people who have them its a pain to remove and mount with a 70 lb weight.
On the plus side is the HT adds stiffness if you use the side brackets and its probably quieter. And then there's the look....

You could always snowbird! I meet people from up your way moving to ATL all the time, here the corvettes run year around! Plus your house and property tax would be/2.....thanks for the heads up on the CL split, will look into that.

$2000 or less: Doesn't run, needs lots of work, never to be anything better than drover quality.
$2000-5000: Runs, but needs lots of work. May have paint issues that are major. Has several features that don't work.
$5000-7500: Driver quality. Has imperfections, but overall looks decent. Does show wear and tear from age.
$7500-10000: Clean car, very little wear. Not perfect, but close.
$10000+: Super clean cars. Basically perfect or low miles. All your "special" cars fall in here like Grand Sports, ZR-1s, things like that.
Conertibles and manual transmissions will alter the prices up, as well the minor special editions like the collectors or anniversary cars.

And don't forget that timing is everything! For everybody who is lurking thinking about buying don't wait until it starts to warm up outside and the tax returns roll in. Buying a Vette is just like going on vacation, you pay more in the peak season!

Exactly! Getting a Vette around Christmas often works out best because most people aren't looking to spend big money period due to all their other expenses that time of year (travels, gifts, etc.) but many people are trying to sell to finance those same expenses haha
