Default Courtesy lights in doors staying

Courtesy lights in the doors are staying on when doors are shut. Lights under the dash for the floors go off when doors are shut but not the lights in the doors.

Ran the battery down before I saw it. Interstate Battery thought I didn't drive it enough, I removed battery they charged it. Put it back in then figured out the lights are not going out.

Learned how to take the battery out taking the fender panel out 2 years ago when I changed the battery watching a video from hear.

Idea's ?

Default Courtesy lights in door staying on

Hello,

On my 1996 the door courtesy lights go out but the courtesy lights behind the driver and passenger do not. Is the diagnostic and solution the same? I have removed the bulbs.

Thanks.

Default courtesy lights

Have you checked the switches in the door jamb? They get gunked up over the years, sometimes a little WD40 will work. And I'm not sure but if either one isn't working properly both lights will stay on.

unfamiliar with late models. my mention of delay timer is applicable to earlier years for sure, not sure of later years.
