Best car wax at an auto parts store
I was just wondering what is a good mild light wax that won't harm my clear coat. The clear coat is in great shape, I just want it to shine.
And how about inside the car, what's a good quality product that I can pick up at the local auto parts store? I see some products that say they are good for leather, plastic, etc. but I was wondering if getting different products for the different surfaces would be better.
Hope this makes sense and I know it's a NooB question.
Thanks guys
-maybe I'll work on a sig for the forum soon-
1990 red\red bone stock but I am itching to do something to it soon ! :jester

I will be honest... the best "wax" is Zaino...

Well Zaino is available at a store near me, but I stay away from Meguiars, tried it on my truck, it sucked, believe it or not, Rain Dance worked excellent on my truck.
You can buy Zaino off some guys on the forum or thru Ecklers.

Go spend 30 secs in the car care section of this forum and you will see that Zaino is recommended highly. I used Maguire's for years...in fact the day I bought my vette I went to pep boys and spent over $50 on all new Maquire's products. Luckily it rained the first couple of days so I never got the chance to clean it up. I checked out the car care section here and read all the reviews of Zaino and decided to try it. The Maguires stuff is still sitting on my shelf unopened. Zaino simply is the best. I used to work at a detail shop in high school/college so I know a little bit about what I am talking about.
Your initial time investment is steep....you need to wash your vette with Dawn to remove the carnuba crap wax (like Maguires)....then idealy you should clay bar the entire car....then do the whole Zaino treatment. With the new ZFX additive you can do 3 coats in one day.
After your first time you can just do the Z2 wax Z6 spray as needed...the more coats of Zaino you have on the deeper your color looks....I can do one full coat in less than 30 minutes.......honestly it looks better than any other wax you have ever used...
Check out their website:
www.zainobros.com
You can buy it direct from Zaino but they have no direct interent sales...you have to print out an order form and mail it in. We do have several dealers on the forum...you can find them easy in the car care section. I overpaid and bought mine from Ecklers :smash: but I wanted to get it here ASAP.
For the record I am not a Zaino rep or an employee so I have no ulterior motive in singing Zaino's praises....it just is the best.

Zaino is unbeatable for shine, durability and ease of use (and it smells good too). 3M Perfect-It products are probably equal to Zaino, but a whole lot more work to achieve essentially the same results.
Meguiar's Gold is good stuff for discriminating car buffs, but not, in my opinion, as good as the above and definitely not as easy to use as Zaino.
I have found for a quick and long-lasting shine....especially chrome, from a product that can be gotten at any automotive center, Nu Finish is tough to beat. And it is usually less expensive than most of the other brands. AND it is pretty easy to use, too.
For the inside of the car? Definitely Lemon Pledge. Fantastic stuff. Leaves a smooth satiny finish that rivals that when the car was new, plus that "fresh" lemony smell as an added bonus. Do NOT use it on glass or the brake or accelerator pedals, as it is a "wax" product and could make them rather slippery.

I vote for Liquid Glass. It comes second to Zaino IMO. Though it's not technically a wax, it's a polish. Carnuba based waxes are just not worth using to me.

Gold Class is whats on my ride in the pics. But I just got the Zaino in so next week I'll give that a shot. I think my car shines pretty good with the Gold Class

I went through this a couple of months ago and everyone in the "car care" section recommended Zaino. I had never heard of the stuff, but I bought the whole series and I can't tell you how amazed I was!
Order it, you will not be disappointed!
Matter of fact, just put 3rd coat of Z2 on today!!!
