My latch that attaches to the rear glass is starting to wear out. The plastic coating that goes over the metal latch is falling apart - which is causing the hatch not to shut or open properly. Has anyone had any luck finding a new replacement? All I have found so far is used options on ebay. I have a 95 vette.

My latch is in similar shape. My plan when I get around to it is remove the latch assembly, remove old plastic, buy a can of plasti dip (the can you actually remove the top and dip things in not the spray) and dip it a couple of times.

I just took an exacto and trimmed the plastic off. Never thought of it again.
