I opted to go to IM with the info just in case there was someone with less than admirable intentions lurking on the forum... :seeya

C4's are simple to break into because of the crappy weatherstripping we are fored to deal with. The old coathanger trick works in about 2 minutes. The weatherstipping gives so much that you can easily slide on inside and if the car is running lower a window or if not running trigger the locking mechanism. I've had to break into my old 84 twice and my 91 once its a piece of cake

Re: Locked Out, Need Help! (Hendej)
speaking of VATS, just last night i had to pull the old "lets sit in my car for 5 minutes and try again" trick as it disabled me. I think i leaned something though. When i open the door the security light is blinking. It looks like if i put the ket in the ignition and turn it before i am completely seated and the door is shut it increases my chances of haveing a VATS moment. It's the only times it's happened to me (3 times now). Last night i was in the process of pulling the door shut as i turned the key and the VATS shut me out. I waited 5 minutes in the car and then it fired right up.

Next time :cry If you don't want to carry a spare key in your wallet, tape it to the back spoiler. You just need the door key.
