Wax My Lexan Top??
Should I wax my lexan top along with waxing the rest of the car? I heard somewhere that it helps protect from UV rays and all that...is this true? Should I be waxing my top?

  wetsand a glass top? more scratches???
Doesn't the wax just fill the scratches temporarily?
I am scared to do that. I would use an aircraft windshield polish to take out the fine scratches. I have used Rain X to protect it from acid rain. But I would think that wax would dry out the surface and make it more susceptible to cracking. Light aircraft windshields and side glass take a more severe beating than our vette tops. So I would think that using a polish and protectant that they use would be the best.

Acrylic top, acrylic lacquer. They respond about the same. You just work your way down to 1500 or 2000 grit and progressively less aggressive buffing compounds and swirl remover from there. Finer and finer scratches until you can't see them, same as paint. No problem. Looks a lot better than the shabby original clearcoat. :yesnod:

Wax it. The top is clearcoated, and it needs all the protection you can give it. They age over time and get brittle, and eventually you join the club of people who post "Damn, went out to my car this morning and the top was split right down the middle!"
