i want to beat some c7s. where do i find them at?
curious whats the best (legal) way to find them?
grudge night drag racing? CFOT?
eventually i want to continue modding to beat literbikes.
most of the c7 drivers are rich old guys who, in my experience, dont *always* know how to drive.
many times ive been to a drag strip where an old man shows up in a new c6 corvette and cant
break 14s. ive seen the guys get frustrated and let a local track redneck drive their car and run the mid 12s or so its capable of.

the problem with that is im sure theres some dude with a 1200 rwhp auto car on slicks that would love to wax me.
id like to find a similar rwhp, stickshift convertible to mine.
im tired of the 'if its newer its faster', attitude on here.
if the year is 1982, then trust me, the 82 isnt faster than the '69!!!

FWIW, I ran a '15 5.0 and yeah he won, but my Ruby didn't do too bad Stock car for me, at least for now. I would say just go to drags on a Saturday. Get video if you can

So how much in mods do you have to have to beat the 460 hp of a C7? Would love to see vid as well!

Eidt:post in your regional section and start calling them out
If the owner has an auto with the nannies on all he has to do is stick right foot down car does the driving for him (sounds boring)
Most C7s are in the garage....forever getting their 35th coat of wax.
You got enough power, get it off the line best you can. C7s launch pretty well and have plenty of gears.

My C7 gets autocrossed about one a month. It ain't particularly fast, 12.xx in the quarter. My liter bike will do high 9s. Good luck with that one.

Tpi421vette runs some rediculous times with a small block and stock ZF6 that will smoke litrebikes why not give it a try.

Diz. you will have a MAJOR "challenge"

for example, there was a dodge hellcat racing last summer on a nite i was there. both of us were running 12.1's at 123 mph.
i keep hearing about these insane times, but never see them in person at the tracks i race at.

This has all been discussed here before.... Mr. dizwiz didn't get it then, and apparently still doesn't get it now....... Chasing a modern high performance "liter bike" in a C4 is a deamers game!!

Oh, and hows that transmission holding up? If I recall correctly you had to have it rebuilt last year right?

That race was in Mexico Seems to be fine(knock on wood, please). I just don't like the soft shifts at part throttle. But every auto c4 owner seems to say they have soft shifts at part throttle.
