Default 2 way check valve

It's the vacuum line for the cruise control. My original was leaking, so I replaced it. But when I turn off the car, that 2 way check valve makes a whistling sound. Not sure why. If I disconnect it, the sound goes away. Has anyone else had that problem?

If you bought it "local" - EXCHANGE it

If NOT buy one "local".

Dave is spot on. The "new" check valve is bad. These are available at most chain stores. I just replaced mine and no whistling.

Good luck!

Make sure the one you purchased/exchange is an accepted replacement for a GM #14056648

They're all NOT the same. So long as you need to do it again - just make sure.

That appears to be a derivative of the Dorman 47150 that Dorman says is a "match" so .......

Question, why is a 3 way check valve used instead of a "T"?
