Default HotRod Power Tour 2015 pics

went on the power tour in my 96 Grand Sport. over 2000 miles in 7 days. and I skipped the first 3 cities. I went from ft. worth tx to Louisiana then to Arkansas then to Memphis tenn. where I caught the tour. then to Birmingham al. then to Gulfport miss. then to baton rouge la. and back home to tx tomorrow.
here are some pics.

Memphis hotel and the show in Memphis.

then the hotel and show pics in Birmingham

then Gulfport

then baton rouge.

and that's it. the old c4 didn't have any problems. didn't have to lift the hood once. only problem was a bolt fell out the muffler hanger. got a new one at autozone and fixed it already.
still have 500 miles to drive home tomorrow.

Thanks for the pictures. It looks like the weather wasn't always cooperative.
Your car looks great. I would guess you got a lot of questions on your rear spoiler.

Nice pics.....enjoy the rest of the ride back home....wish I could have made this one; I noticed it hit Gateway Racetrack on the other side of the river from St. Louis in Illinois before continuing south to your neck of the woods. Would have like to join that caravan.....maybe next year........again, love the spoiler; would look good on mine in reverse color scheme.....

Looks like normal Power Tour weather to me.

Nice pics, post up some more when you get a chance.

Corvettes seem to attract the rain.
4 generations in the rain at a PT stop in 2007.

It wouldn't be the Power Tour if it didn't rain for at least part of it.

Was that you that made me go 125 MPH trying to keep up? I was cruising with a Grand Sport and the driver must have been trying to clean his plugs a bit. I was in the 1995 Impala SS and thought I'd clean mine also. We were just gettin' it. What a great trip. Made the long haul with my 19 year old nephew.

Yessir, that would have been me. The ghost flames made it a hot rod. Now I need some of those Japanese stickers for the windows and it'll be fast. This is a small world.

No ProCharger on my car.
But there is a member here with a Red '95 ProCharged Vette that does the PT.
Perhaps it was him?

I have seen that car before. Did he have another Aussie friend with him?
They ship their cars over, and then spend a few weeks touring the country.

Took these way back on the 2005 Power Tour at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

i didn't see the blue car anywhere, just the red one. it looks like a cross between a 71-73 mustang and a torino. interesting.
that was probably him in the red 95. never got to meet him. he has polished alum. wheels. not original c4 wheels. don't remember what they looked like. car looks like new it was so clean going by me at @ 100mph. I tried to keep up but didn't want to go that fast. we cruised @70-80 most of the time

Those are factory body Aussie Ford XB Falcon GT 351 cars.
Your right, looks like a cross between a Mustang and Torino.

If you saw the Vette I am talking about, he can run mid-high 11's in the quarter.
