Default Bose CDM

I'm curious if there are other cars a CDM can be taken from that will work in the Corvette. Is the CDM vehicle specific?

Cadillac Eldorado and Seville '92 - '95 or so. Needs to be Bose.

Hmmm... really? Caddy's litter the discount pull-it-yourself wrecking yards. Might grab a spare or 7 if that is the case.

sorry to hijack, but does the non-bose CDM (1995) have interchanges too?

I would think so. Do you have the number from the label on the CDM? Most light CK trucks '88 - maybe '94 used a CDM with only a control box visible at the dash. I've never had the need to check but I'd think these would work for anything that isn't Bose. Any of the other GM's that use a CDM also should work. There were a few.

Thanks.

I don't have the number and since I just had surgery, I won't be climbing around to find it for a while.

I was suspecting that others would interchange, but not sure which ones.
