6 years ago tonight
Six years ago tonight we pulled out of Doc's Corvettes in Tulsa and began the 1200 mile drive home in my new-to-me '92. Since then we have been to 20 states and about 28,000 miles. I have never regretted buying it and we're looking forward to the next 6 years (and 28 more states).

6 years
Sounds like a good 6 years there. Fun to think back on things.
Mine was 8/15/13 when mine was purchased at a car auction in N.M.
I have not put near that number of miles on as I've been working on it but one day I will (wanting to drive the old Rt. 66).
Congrats on 6 years of joy.

Glad you are enjoying it.
They are great road trip cars. I really enjoy mine too. Sounds like you need to get out there again with 28 states to go.
Have fun.

We've got the cloth seats and the car is fantastic for long trips. Coming home from the Canadian Rockies a few years ago we did 887 miles one day, and while you're going to feel tired in ANY vehicle at that distance, it really was not terrible.

Sounds great, Congrats on enjoying your Corvette. The C4 is a great road car, I just got back from a 1K mile trip in my 93 ZR-1 and averaged 27mpg.

This one however is just sad. It won't be too long before it may happen again. The days are getting shorter already.

Badlands were HOT - and that was a few days before we got the AC fixed!
I have no beef with those who don't drive the car if it's cloudy, or who keep the mileage low - it's a free country. To me, the fun is in driving the car. Up close it's rough, clear coat is peeling and there are some cracks and chips. I will get it painted some day but right now we're trying to build a new home so it will have to look ratty a while longer.
As for the snow, I don't even want to think about it. I don't understand how the 7 months from April thru October can pass so much faster than the 5 from November through March.
Here's the Forum visit to St Jude's a couple years ago. ( A great time yet very sobering what those poor kids go through!)
The wife after a pass down the Strugis dragstrip at the Black Hills Corvette Classic. As part of the Poker Run, you could make one pass without having to register and pay for a full day of racing. And a passenger could ride along. The smile says it all!
I took pics on our trip through the New England states last summer but I need to download a program to the new computer to let me transfer and store them.

Great pictures from Railroadman. I'm using the same approach with my 90 coupe. I plan to drive it all through the USA until the wheels fall off. Just started this spring, but did get 7 states done so far. 4 more states to be added to the list in the next few weeks. Wife and I are having the time of our life with the Corvette. A C4 can really make retirement a lot of fun.
