Default Greenwood removal?

i found a car i'm interested in, but it has greenwood sides skirts & wing.
curious how hard it is to remove these?

b/c personally i think they look ugly, but love the rest of the rest of the car?

thanks!

There will be lots of holes to deal with especially in the bumper covers.

I passed up on a couple of good deals on c4s because of the sides skirts & wing.

On mine, with the side skirts off, the rocker panels aren't pretty - they are shaped for the skirts and look obvious that they're missing something when the skirts are off. The holes aren't difficult to plug and paint, but the skirts would be the determining factor for me.

Look for another car if removing them is what your going to do...Between body work and paint you'll have more into the car then you could have bought one in nice shape without the Greenwood kit for........WW

A couple years ago I saw a sharp Quasar Blue on here - think it was a '92 but can't recall for sure - which would have made a nice car for my wife. Unfortunately it had all that stuff on it and to me it was a deal breaker.

Take a look in this forums "C4s For Sale" section...Most of the cars in there have been maintained with the help of the guys on this forum...There probably in better shape then if you buy from someone on the street.......WW

I took the kit off mine and have holes everywhere. I'm going to patch them up with the various epoxies and putties out there and then get a paint job. I left the wing on though because I kind of like it and I didn't want the holes in the top of the car. My original rocker panels were removed so the side skirts could be added. When I took the side skirts off there were no rocker panels. Luckily I have a friend that had a parts car and I got the rockers off it. I hope to have all the holes filled by winter time.

Oh, and since this was a local car, there are several people that have told me the car looks much better without the ground effects. I think so too.

thanks for the advice/tip. as i said, i'm not a fan of the skirts...i think they throw off the proportions of the C4 corvette, honestly. as i've looked at more cars i don't hate the spoiler as much anymore.....but i'll probably stay away from the greenwood vettes...
