Carlisle... Eye on the weather

Well we can't rely on the forecast and we're stuck with whatever we get but I'm sure we'll make the best of it because that's what Corvette people do.

Unless something dramatic changes, it looks like very comfortable temps, with a slight chance of an afternoon shower each day. I will take that. But a funny thought I had this morning when thinking about the weather: I live about an hour away, and plan on driving my C4 back and forth each day. I have owned the car for two years, and have NEVER seen raindrops on it. Guess we shall see! Regardless, I know I will enjoy the weekend immensely!

Carlisle has had a number of nasty thunderstorms, microbursts and hail over the years, tents collapsing on unuique Vettes, trees falling on others...one never knows what the August weather will bring.

Since the meteorologists are wrong about the same day I'm not to concerned yet.
Silver84C4 I hear you! I won't go out unless 3 different apps say no rain and now I'm driving 500 miles into rain. Oh well. I hope to see you all there. I was told corvettes don't melt from the rain. I hope they're right

Unfortunately, the weather just took a turn for the worse, and now for Friday accuweather is calling for a heavy afternoon thunderstorm, with a few t-storms at night also. Possible shower Saturday as well. Oh well, hopefully WE won't melt. I have been through some torrential downpours at Carlisle, thankfully I was near the covered pavilion at the car corral so I just had to wait it out. Let's hope Friday isn't so bad...

We have a wedding to go to Friday evening, and I pit for a race team whose last race of the points season is Saturday, so I won't be making it this year.
Probably just as well....I have a very patient wife but I've been thinking about a project C-2 and that might push her over the edge! I'm not biblical but the "lead me not into temptation" bit fits pretty well in this situation.
