One thing seems certain, these days...

The top speed cars at the recent 1/2 mile WANNAGOFAST event in Chicago (Monee, actually) were ALL FI motors. Period. It has given me pause as I consider sleeve and stroking my LT5, "fer sher"!

Admins- please correct me if I am wrong.
Either way, just because you drive your Race car on the street, it does not mean you race your racecar on the street. Beiing street driven tells alot. Look at Mark Carlyle's C6 that runs a mid 6 second pass. He pulls a trailer and drives it from track to track.

Kind of like 383vett (who has a c4 race car and his c6 z06 is resigned to ice-cream duties).

This would limit the people for this category, to anyone that responds to this question on this page, and has a street driven car. ..The Sledgehammer owner isn't on this page so he wouldn't count.Cars run only on the track wouldn't count....Saying , "I know a guy who has the fastest car" doesn't count.... So, which one of "us" has the fastest street driven car????..WW

I still think its amazing those guys did back then what others try and fail at 20+ years later. The C4 is an awesome platform, It just needs some tweeks here and there! lol
