Don't forgot to change your drive and driven gears when you change the outer tire diameter, otherwise your speedo will be off. Or you can use a speedometer calibrator.

Mickey Thompson makes a 295/45/17 in their ET Street DR. They're listed at 27.2" tall. Not sure, but I'm guessing that would fit without a problem.

Why do you want the extra height? Better traction? Just curious.

I understand the theory, but I'm not sure how much is to be gained when using "street" tire pressures. I run drag radials pretty much all the time and they seem to handle pretty good.

what radials do you run? Et streets hook up pretty good but at 600 RWHP they seem to get slippery in higher RPM in 2nd

Nitto 555 drag radials. They aren't the stickest but I'm not at 600 RWHP. YET!!!!

I like them coz they handle well and match the front tires close enough that most don't know they are a DR.
