2 Schools of thought here IMHO. To me mileage is not a big deal IF you really like and enjoy the car. As C4inmesa says he has 218k but he is dedicated and takes care of his car and the money is not the issue: he just enjoys the car. I am the same way. If I enjoy the vehicle, mileage means nothing to me. Cars are a money pit anyway and they are there to enjoy. Yes they are expensive to rebuild however if you are having fun and like, really like the style, why get rid of it. I watch Mecum auctions and attend Barrett-Jackson every year and they brag on how this car is 50 years old with only 1,500 miles on it. Fine if you own a museum but hardly worth it if you don't enjoy it. What's wrong with slowly refurbishing it and bringing it back to life. I see guys trade cars all the time and usually because they can't or won't fix it or have a s***pot load of problems and want to unload it. 400K is a lot of miles probably will set a record and how many guys can say that they have a car that went that long. I have a buddy of mine who bought a 57 Chevy Bel-Air in 61 with OVER 400k on it and he keeps reworking it as he can afford it. His social security is so low that he has to really watch his pennies BUT he has a nice car and it has been in the Good Guys mag a couple of times. It's all stock, had 4 engines, 3 accidents, I don't know how many trannies, but you wouldn't know it by looking at it. Just think about it-you have nothing to loose if you rebuild and can do most of it yourself or get some buddies. Personally I think you have a milestone and I would be very proud of it!

359k miles!! Congrats.....I never heard a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche running that high!! If they did I'm sure it would be 100's of thousands of dollars in rebuilds!!

LG wheels are great looking wheels, but here in CA you see those wheels every 25 seconds. If you would like your car to show, LG would not be the way to go.

That's crazy. I'm going to save up for some Fikse FM5 or FM10 for my Ruby.

i have to ask, what is it you do for a living or where in the heck do you go that puts up more than 25,500 miles a year for over 14 years on this car?
