Took my seat out and now i have some spare parts...
I replaced the brake booster in my 89 over the weekend and took out my drivers seat but now i have a few spare parts left over, i can see from the marks on the underside of the seat where they sit but cant figure out how it all goes together and stays in. Any help would be great thanks

Think of the money the company could have saved not using these extra parts! I guess you could take the other seat apart to see where they go! Don't worry I have that same problem on extra parts, I just tracked down some I had, because I didn't know where they went. Someone here will have some pictures and guidance on how it goes together!

That's why I've developed the habit of "bag 'em and tag 'em", particularly when working under hood.
Those two wires look like they could fit into the seat cushion frame; not sure about the two straps though. You might check section 9 of your '89 FSM as my '88 does not show those two items.

This thread answers all with snapshots - the thread starter called them "suspenders" and makes the search function somewhat unusable. The wires are under the seat frame and if you don't understand what to expect it can still be confusing. Look at the hooks on the "suspenders" - they're attached to the wires which protrude through the frame.

Haha ok thanks. It makes sense now that i see those wires are on the inside of the seat frame. Otherwise there was nothing to hold them in place and thats what confused me.

I've been searching the forum for a way to address my passenger sport seat recline not working. It's not the switch; I can hear the motor just a bit when I press the switch. For some reason it's seized in the forward position against what is probably the stop.
I found an old thread that had the photobucket pictures wiped, so maybe you could answer my question - is that threaded rod part of the recline mechanism? If mine has similar rust, that could be what's causing the problem.

Melting Slicks
My "webbing" was coated with some kind of white crap. Kinda like heavy paint. It always flaked off and got all over the carpet. Normally not a big deal but my ECM (megasquirt) is under there and it always ticked me off. Was that normal?

I also looked under the seat. No drugs , but I did find one of those pine tree freshener things.
