C-$ Pinch Weld Lifting Tool
Made a pinch weld jacking tool to lift my C-4 today.
Used a 4" piece of Unistrut 1 5/8 X 1 5/8.
Added a leftover piece of composite decking to make up the difference so at to not touch the body when lifting.
Mounted a hockey puck on the bottom and put some hose along the top so it wouldn't scratch the body.

I like it, but I just use a hockey puck - soft enough to cushion the body but firm enough to keep the car off the jack. I thought about cutting a slot into it, but it seems to work well without it.

How close does it come to the hard lines that are sitting behind the pinch weld? On the left side, there are the brake lines and on the right side, the fuel lines.
One neat thing about the C4 is that the entire side of the car can be lifted using only a single lifting point. If you look up under the pinch weld, you will see a stud just about in the center between the jacking arrows. This stud holds the lines in place.
Place the jack pad just forward of that stud and you can raise the car. That makes it much easier to place jack stands under the frame.
