Can you please just take a normal picture with the camera straight? All these tilted angles aren't showing the look of the flare. From straight behind the car, then the side and front 3/4.

Well my final molds are done and i should be making my final parts tonight or tomorrow. I gained 3/4 inch per side and the bulge is carried further up the side of the car like the front wheel well. Personally i think it looks great compared to what was there.

Question, using wheel spacers if necessary.... What is the WIDEST rim and wheel i can put on there? I was thinking about taking off the bump stop as well so i could get closer inboard if it gaines another 3/4 or so.

pics of it installed coming soon also going to offer these on ebay if they come out looking the way i hope.

Thanks

I'm having a difficult time seeing it as well. It appears to be huge, but you say it only adds 3/4 ". I'm sure its just the pic. I'm impressed and you sir have a huge set. You jumped on that thing like a prom date and you're not stopping. My hat is off to you and I await the end results. I think matching the front fender was genius and for me the point would be to not even notice it when it is all done.

I used a 3/4 spacer when i made the mold. I think the biggest visual change is that the flare/bulge doesnt dive back into the body. If you look at the front flares they carry farther up and they just look a little more aggressive.... It might be more work then it was worth and maybe im just wanting to add my touch to the car... I had fun and im liking the result so far, so all is well lol

Quite the project you have there...

Do you plan to paint the entire car?
Will you do the paint prep and/or painting worki??

I think the widest tire I've seen on a C4 is a 315?

Bear with me guys my laptop is down and im postin from my phone.

Paint .... Piece of cake. Ive always painted all my camaros and mustangs, the "new" part of all this is the fiberglass.. Not much experience with this.

I will be repaint the rear only. This car has a VERY nice newer paintjob that id rather not tamper with if i dont have to.

Hey guys i could really use some help with this one. I have my axel dropped for the gear swap and upgrades etc. so i cant take measurements for the backspacing and etc. with the added 3/4 can someone take some measurements for the widest i can go for the rim and what my back spacing would need to be?

"Weldcraft" is only about 2hrs from me and im going to have them cut and widen my rims. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Pics in next post

Ok guys.. Dont pass any negative judgment yet. This is fresh out of the mold and no clean up yet. I wouldnt go through all this work to have bumps, waves or poopy body lines. I was just excited and wanted to get a pic or two up to hear some opinions or suggestions.

Awwww!!!!! Why does it keep rotating my picture when i post them !!!!!! If i was a swearing man id say poop the not so nice way grrrrrrr

I have to give you credit young feller. I have done a lot of body work but only with metal and bondo. I even use a hollowed out tree trunk to shape metal with to help form. When it comes to glass, I haven't the faintest idea. A buddy of mine has built many roadsters with glass and they look fantastic! I certainly want to see the pics of yours when you are done!!! My hat's off to you and wish you the best of luck. No guts-no glory!

The widest? well I'm not sure, but I think a GS 11" wheel with a 315 would look just right on there now. I personally don't care for the stick on fender lips but now that you have incorporated the flare into the body it should look like it belongs. One reason I don't know how much wider you can go is because the original fender is still in there.

Are you using the picture icon in the tool bar, and then pasting your Photobucket link there? Use the 'preview' to double check if it's right.
