Default Help Diagnose Vibration

70-80 mph... smooth above and below. Occurs with two different sets of wheels and tires (Chrome ZR1's w/Cooper's and Fikse FM5's w/Nitto's). New wheel bearing (4), new u-joints (4), newer Bilstein shocks (10k miles). Car was lowered with wedges and bolts. Also a definite pulsation upon braking. Hard to believe it's a wheel balance issue. Warped rotors may be the issue, driveshaft, steering rack?

Stay Frosty!

If the vibration only occurs when applying brakes it is most likely a rotor issue, generally rotor do not warp they get hot spots and can be seen as blue spots on the rotors. have them turned or just get new ones.

Vibration at 70-80 mph AND pulsation when braking. Car was aligned after lowering. Could rotors be causing my issue at speed?

Try the "box-trick" (below link) and see how much run-out is in your tire assembly.

If you have a lot of run-out on the tire assembly, pull the wheel and check run-out on the rotor the same way. Course, if you have dial-indicator you can do it much more scientifically...
