Default My 4 year old son blew the tires out...

on his Power Wheels C7. Here's the carnage from the driver's side! Kid can drift/power slide with the best of 'em. he even power shifts it from L to H gear...cracks me up.

Tire Discounters just laughed at me when I walked in with the leftovers...

Love my son,

Lee

BTW that is his new racing number on the 'door'...we do this every few weeks or so. He calls me and is like 'Daddy, I need the Corvette to be number 5218' or something silly like that and we've got to get it 'numbered up' before he cruises.

Lee

And here is a snippet of him getting crazy in the 'vette...

and cruising around...

Obviously, you can see why the 'tires' lasted only 4 1/4 months.

Wow what a laugh well until he is old enough to drive.
Perhaps you need to explain how much he needs to save from his pocket money to get new tires, then he may learn to be kinder to the tires.
Can imagine your face when he is old enough and asks hey dad can i drive your Corvette.

Don't post that he was drifting on a public forum - it might hurt your chances of getting new tires under warranty.

LOL! Yeah, he also proceeded to tell me and his mommy that it needs a new shifter and that the transmission is going out. We've been watching too much of Hot Rod's 'Roadkill' I think hahahaha!

Thank you! He's a great kid...a handful sometimes but he's far more high energy than I ever was (or am).

Here's a shot of him right after he got it and later on after we had to 'work' on it.

I need to ask my dad to see if he still has the article, but when I was your son's age I had a small piece written on me in the local newspaper when someone from the paper drove by my house and saw me outside with my PowerWheels Jeep up on ramps and I had tools underneath just banging around pretending to change the oil.

Good stuff! I'd love to see that article!

Have you considered something like this for the repair?

WOW! If I was talented enough to do that I'd swing it! But fabbing is way out of my league. That is cool though...I may need to see what I can arrange. I cannot even find that I can buy the tires separately. So far I've only found the shifter assembly for sale thru PW.

Thanks,

Lee

I was the same way as kid, we had a bunch of classics and grew up around them. I wanted my own so my dad found this 1990 Ferrari F50 fiberglass shell on a custom tube chassis (it was about 7-8 feet long by about 4-5 feet wide. It was also free as it was left at a house he was redoing in about 93-94ish) I had it painted Chevy orange (from red) and all of the gals in the neighborhood fought over who was going to get to go for a ride.

…The 90's were very good to me. I do miss the 90's.

My tires were just like that, it had twin yacht batteries, and it was highly modded. But one day all of the fun came to end when I crashed it into a tree. IT was gone.

….

Long story short, when I was 15 my dad gave me his orange '72 C3. I have had it ever since and I will give it to my kids someday. (whenever I have kids)

My boss has a white '75 C3 convertible, and her son is 1 year old, and the car is already the kids.

I would never own a Prius. I would never put my kids in something like that. It is the laughing stock of the auto industry. In other words, it is a modern day Pinto or Vega.

Although I burn tires on 1:1 scale cars like they are free….I would hope my kids don't turn out like me as I would have to pay to replace a lot more tires than I already do. So I probably wouldn't get my kids a monster V8….just something that has "enough" power to get from point A - B while still having some class and style. (NO Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans, Kia's, etc).
