Default Anyone ever tried to Plasti Dip Acrylic Targa?

Targa top is scratched up and has a little crack. Looks pretty rough. The solid top on my C5 keeps the interior a lot cooler in the summer and I'd love to have one for the '86 but can't afford a used one right now. Since plati dipping has become the corvette rage I would like to know if the stuff would stick and flow ok on an acrylic top? Anybody tried it yet? Searched and found all kinds of plasti dip posts but none specifically about acrylic targa tops.

Should stick on just fine. Make sure you clean the surface first

I'm gonna go for it. Even if it makes a mess it can't really get any uglier. I wonder if the plasti dip will help "seal" my crack? I don't want to use silicone or anything like that first as it would probably cause adhesion problems with the plasti dip. Maybe a cyanoacrylate glue like zap wouldn't hurt. Since it wicks well I've used it many times for smc repair on junky play vettes to keep hunks of paint on, fill cracks, etc.
I'll post some pics on this thread when I'm finished. Any more advice would be greatly appreciated.
