Just rebuilt the column in my 92 a few weeks ago. I also used www.SteeringColumnServices.com for my parts. They offer new and reconditioned tilt housings and parts. If I remember correctly if you remove it from the car and ship it to him he can rebuild for you. I used one of his reconditioned tilt housing units and was happy with the results, just like new. As far as what it takes to do it, just take your time and a few special tools. (Steering lock plate, and tilt pin remover) Just follow the factory service manual and when you take it apart lay it out on the work bench in the order it comes off. Good luck

You could also try using an oversize pin to tighten up the tilt mechanism if that is your problem. It is a relatively easy and quick repair method but the pin costs $50.00.
