How to tell the Diff. from a Dana 36 to Dana 44?
Ok C4 experts, How do I tell the Diff between these two Diffs? Got a chance to buy a '90 parts car with a six speed and what I guess is a Dana 44. I can't be sure about the rear end, as old as the car is it may have been swapped out at some point. Thanks in advance for any help!

I read in a forum thread one time that if you aren't sure if you have a 36 or a 44, then take it out and flog it unmercifully. If it breaks, it is a 36, if not, you've got a 44.
Seriously, they are able to be told apart by the bolt patterns. Get Bing up on your screen and type in "Dana Differential in C4 Corvette, image". Should take you to a series of pics that will show you the difference. The link I got is:

Good luck
