Opinions on ZR1 silver painted wheel finish
#21
You really want to have an "up-close" before deciding on a silver ZR-1 replica wheel. There's many different "silvers" used in the after-market and what you might receive from an Internet or "blind" order might not be what you assumed you were getting or what you had maybe seen on other cars.
Caution!
Can't beat black wheels on a white car! It is though a "personal decision" - damned a bunch of decisions!

Another issue about going polished ... To clean my wheels the right way, I have to remove the wheels. Jack, back breaking work, takes a few hours at least. Because cleaning inside my wheels is almost mandatory if you want it done right.
Go powder or painted.
Chrome looks good on very few C4s. Sassman's red is an example.

It's a Street Rod but here's what TTIIs look like in black.

Silver painted wheels look very good on a white C4. Also, low maintenance.
That being said, chrome sawblades (91-96 variety) also look great on a later white C4. Especially at night rolling along.
Good luck whatever you decide.

I have TT2 wheels ( Torq Thrust Two ) ...
Only way to clean the inside is taking the wheels off.
My solution is to powder coat black ....
If it looks like junk then I'll buy all new high quality reproduction ZR1 style painted wheels.
Thanks
