C4 Cabin Noise Reduction
I recently installed sound reduction material in the rear of my C4 convertible. The 1100 rpm "drone" was driving my wife nuts and she was reluctant to ride with me. I have stainless flow through mufflers from Corvette Central and they really do drone between 900 and 1300 rpm. I went to Home Depot and bought three rolls of 1/8 inch, rubber foam/aluminum foil, self-adhesive heat duct wrap @ $17 a roll. Then removed the seats and carpet and installed the wrap. Cutting each piece to fit as required. This took about three hours. When finished with the wrap, I used some spray foam, like you would use to seal a crack in your basement, to fill in spots the duct wrap could not reach. Be careful installing the spray foam as it expands in place.
The sound level has been reduced substantially and it's a lot more comfortable for both me and my wife.

C4 Cabin Noise Reduction
I did the rear end - storage area, tops of the rear wheel wells, behind the seats, the bulkhead in the back of the storage area, the storage compartments, everything I could reach. That which I couldn't reach I got with the spray foam. Unfortunately no pics, it was 98+ degrees in the garage that day. Although I did document the installation of a factory luggage rack I installed in March. It was cooler then and I took my time. I'm 67 and hate the heat. This is a picture of the completed project.

I hope your insulation works as well as mine. You used the same stuff I did. Looks like you did a great job. Take care!

It took several years to find a rack. I was about to give up when a guy at a regular old junkyard gave me a call last February. He actually had two! I brought a small refrigerator home on the rack yesterday. It comes in handy. Take care!

Luggage Rack
Bill if you are near a salvage yard see if they have any Fiero's the rack they have on them look just like the vette rack, I picked a vette rack at Grand Valley Corvette in Grand Rapids ( Not sure if he has another) but coming out with my rack a Fiero was setting there I set mine on top, it was the same width, mounts the same the only thing you would need to do is buy two because the vette has two extra bars on it, other then that they look the same and are designed the same with the little spoiler 103047boat
