Default C4 Electrical connector mistery

Hi,

I have a 96 C4 and upon removing an after market alarm system I found a couple of connectors that were unplugged. In the manual the only plug that seems to match is a C235 edge board type but I don't know what it's for. They are located under the steering column one male one female and each have four conductors and the wire colors don't match either. I'm afraid to connect them with the battery connected until I'm sure they are supposed to be connected. I suspect one of them may be an orphan left from the alarm system. Nothing seems to be amiss or not working. I've attached some photo's and any help will much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom
