I love C4's!
The wife and I took a short drive this morning in the LT4. It has been down for a few weeks with the opti out. I have been driving the 92 auto instead.
I have had C3's, C4's, C5's and a C6. I like them all, and one day may look at a C5 vert, but, I love the C4's. That is the generation I grew up with.
In the past it has always been that I wanted the newest Vette, but now I really only long to add a ZR1 to the mix
Anyway, just rambling.

I also love the C4. Was at a great show in Smithville NJ today, all Vettes. My wife said, "All Corvettes are great for different reasons. There's something there for everyone." I agree.
OP, your CE with Torch Red is fabulous. If I ever buy another C4, it will be that, or a '90 ZR1.

Very Nice, Add that ZR-1 while they are still affordable.

C4 = Best mix of old and new
I agree with the OP, The C4 is a great Corvette!
I now own my 96 LT4 convertible for a few months and it's really growing on me.
In the last 7 (or is it 8?) years I have owned 4 other Corvettes.
In order...
C2 - 65 Small Block 4 Speed
C3 - 81 ZZ3 Crate Motor, Auto trans
C5 - 99 6 spd coupe with slight mods
C3 - 70 350/350 4 Spd, 4:11 rear
To be totally honest I was hesitant on buying a C4.
When I took this Vette for a test drive before buying it that's when I realized that this C4 was a Vette worthy of my ownership.
This LT4 C4 I'm finding is the best of both worlds - old & new.
It still has the older vette feel, not as refined as the C5 but is almost as fast as my C5 was and just as reliable I feel. It also handles very close to the C5. It feels to me just as fast as a friends stock C5 6 speed which I had drove for awhile.
I'm 6'5" and 250+ and although it's not as roomy as the C5 was it's still doable for me. The pedals are closer together than the C5's were but I have gotten used to it. I recently did a 4 hour trip and 1.5 hours of that was in traffic and the C4 and I both survived
It's not easy to explain but driving the C4 seems to me to be more fun that driving the C5 was because it's more of a raw feeling that the C5 was. It's almost like my 70 with the 4:11's but with two more gears and it's faster than the 70 was. I guess that's why with 3:45's if feels like the 70 with 4:11's, because it's a faster car. It also handles alot better that the 70 did.
I really liked the old Vette's but the almost constant maintenance grew old. I like to drive the snot out of my cars.
So far all I have had to do on the LT4 was fix a couple of coolant leaks and replace a door window molding.
Like the C5, it's nice to know I can take this Vette on a long ride and not have to worry about it braking down or leaving it over night. I just have to very carefully plan my luggage or lack thereof.
I think this C4 Corvette will be taking up a spot in my garage for awhile. Oh yeah, my wife also likes it which is a big plus.

Fine looking '96 you've got. And I agree that the C4s are fun cars to drive. I have owned four of them over the years (84, 89, 94, and 95) and enjoyed each one.

Did you set your wheels on purpose for that shot? :-)

Im in full agreement with everyone else, c4 is hard to beat. All the handling and innovation put into the design really shows. My favorite part is no traction controll or stability management! Nothing like a silly computer to deaden the driving experience, long live c4 vettes!
