Weather Sripping replacement?
My 96 Convertible needs new weather stripping everyplace. Is this something I can do myself, as Iam somewhat handy or is it best left to others? If its left to others does anyone know someone in Phoenix? Has anyone bought the weather stripping from a web site or catalog and had good results? Thanks for any info

best place to buy from is willcox and you should be able to do it yourself, otherwise go to a couple body shops and get prices. Body shops are usually the best place to go for weatherstrips.

seems like a weather stripping post is a weekly event around here. I did my son's 85 a couple years ago. it's not rocket science, and replacing it is a fairly easy job - just time consuming.. you indicated you're somewhat handy, so you shouldn't have any problem doing this yourself. main thing to remember is not to rush the job. replace and fit each piece and take your time, even it takes a couple of weekends. you can't rush this job! one of the most popular sources and one of the best bangs for the buck is from forum vendor willcox.

You will have to adjust the windows to stop any air infiltration from coming into the car. That was the problem I had when doing mine. It took several adjustments before I got it right.
