To Sell or Part Out, that is the question
Hello All,
About 2 years ago, I bought an 84 that has been one problem after another and it seems like it's just getting worse.
I'm no mechanic, but I try. Lately, I've been getting real sick and don't have the energy to work on her.
The DMV paperwork is going to be a mess with this one and there's just way too much work to even get it ready to pass Calif Smog.
So I have the question now, To Sell -- Or Part Out?
Please tell me your thoughts.
Thanks

Sell the car to someone who will fix it and appreciate it. parting a good car that's not wrecked is a crime!!
or continue to fix the car and post here with questions and we will support you and give the best advice we canto help you sort your car out. i just rebuilt an 84 that was ready for scrap and even though i know i'll have more into the car than its probably worth, its worth it to me to bring a car back to life and to know the car inside and out. the car will be a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication put into the car.

I understand the health/time thing
Just dump it right now stress will bring you down even quicker.

Sell it, like said above. Also it's very hard to sell early C4 parts because almost nobody is restoring them, or even fixing them when they need extensive (expensive) repairs. And those that are don't want to pay anything for the parts.

I would suggest, if you haven't already, to find out exactly what will be involved in the paperwork for the new owner. This will be a catching point for many potential buyers. Of course, if the registration is current and titled in your name and clean and clear, it shouldn't be huge problem. If it's not, then be able to provide a clear path to a potential owner of what they will need to do. (Don't know laws in Cali)
