Default Seemed Like a Good Idea To My Son

tonight i was helping a buddy work on a Subaru WRX at my place and my son Grant was out with us soaking up some car knowledge and he finally asked to sit in the 84 i'm restoring. i told him to go ahead and have fun and he hopped in the car. after about 5 minutes i noticed that he was still in the car and seemed awfully quiet. normally silence means something bad is going down, so when i checked on him, i found him fast asleep in the driver's seat i let him rest there for a little bit and then carried him in the house and up to his bed. he really does love Corvettes

Those Vette seats really are comfortable. I've been thinking that they'd be good to take a nap on. I'll have to try it once.

Can't blame him, my corvette dreams started with the TV show Route 66, after seeing that show my dreams had corvettes in them.

This little guy is a step ahead of what I had

thanks for all the awesome comments!! Grant really is a good little guy and he is hooked on Corvettes. he spots them when we are in the car and says "Dad, a yellow Corvette"!!! or "Dad i see a Corvette"!!! he's never not excited when he sees a Corvette. he's sure got the bug. if he has good grades in school and doesn't develop into a trouble maker, i will make sure i buy him a Corvette that he and i can restore together and it will be his when he is old enough to drive.

one of the best things about having a son, is that they can grow to follow in your foot steps and become vested in the same activities that you partake in.

he's constantly playing in the car when we are in the garage. i really don't mind as long as he's gentle with the interior plastics:

he enjoys riding in the car and though his favorites are my Corvettes, he won't turndown a trip in my 85 944:

and he seems to like to fall asleep on our dog, Duke:

Your darn right the seats are comfy. I've gotten drowzy just driving home after a long day of auto-x out in the hot sun. Then I get in the car, A/C on, V8 Soundtrack, good seats, highway travel......I get sleepy, not a good thing when your driving.

Your son reminds me of myself when I was younger. Look at how I turned out.
