My vette with frosting and toothpicks
Well finally got the 84 all torn down and went to town block sanding. Everything was going great till the rear quarters. Thats where we came to discover that my cars body work must have been done on cake wars. In all my life I have never seen such disgusting bodywork. Still can't wrap my head around what would make someone think to fix anything like this. Heres some pics. At least I know it will be done right when were finished. On that note whats the worst thing youve ever seen in a vette?

po must have been a carpenter. I've never seen anything like that. looks like another set of quarters might be the best solution, check some of the corvette salvage yards for them.

Enough wood to keep a fireplace going for a while. Sheesh.

Yeah it looked like we were home remodeling instead of restoring a vette. Definately needs quarters, was'nt much left of them. Already on the hunt.

I still can't fathom how it came to be this way. I do know that it deserves better than that. It may take more time and money, to me it's worth it. It's still one of the funnest cars I've ever driven, and I plan on driving the wheels off and then some. We're gonna do some disaster relief on it after work. Will keep you guys posted.

I've NEVER seen anything like that in my life and I'm pushing 70 years.
I'm also sure you'll get it right. Make a before and after album of this for historical purposes.
Vic Tanny would be proud.
