The price is no doubt over inflated.
I have no inntentions to buy it in the first place, I just wanted to test drive it for a reference in comparing to my 1986 Z51.
Between the two, I prefer the 86.
Now I know there is a heck of deal on a 2004 Comm Ed Z06 that I can not believe is still available.
I have two other C4's in mind and am working on freeing up some stuff so I can get them both.
But if ttboost's 04 CE Z06 is still not sold, I may have to change my mind.
In my area there is a 1984 with 4+3 for $ 7500, and a 86 auto that has a $ 8500 price tag.
I can not even sell mine for $ 3500.00.

If those other two are still being listed for $7500.00 and $8500.00 and you can't get even $3500.00 for yours, there must be a huge difference in these cars. Mileage, condition, appearance, etc. may play a big part, or you're not directing the sale of your car to the right group of potential buyers. Good luck!

I agree with Vert /\

While I have a C4 and C5 in my garage, the C4 is the driver's car. The C5 always felt numb in terms of handling and driveability, BUT it is still a performance machine that will put a smile on your face everytime your run through the gears.

That price is rediculous. Seeing as how a standard C5 can be had for as little as $9K around here, there is no reason to pay another $20k for a Z. Remember, no matter what people tell you, modifications are NOT supposed to raise the price of a car. If the dealer took the car from a guy as a trade in, they most likely gave him less than half that. Besides... why would someone spend that much on a C5 when you could get a C6???

Those C5 Hard top Z06's Can run in stock form.
They even sound better than the Base C6.
They have one of the best Vette Ehaust note's.
