Looks like it is time to part with my car.
Due to financial reasons I am going have to sell it as much as I love it. Everybody on this board has been great and I will miss my car immensely. I am thinking of putting it on E bay even though I hear the horror stories and have not sold a car this way. I have always used the AutoTrader in the past.
Does anyone have anything I should be aware of if I go this way? Obviously the transaction will need to post before sending the car. I just want to make sure there are no scams that people are currently using. I am not sure how I am going to price it yet.
Thank you,
Dean

I've sold vehicles on eBay. Cash only. Meet at the bank. Buyer hands over cash, you hand over keys and title. You deposit cash before leaving bank. That simple.
Don't do it any other way.

I've sold several cars on ebay. Never a problem. Pick 'em up at airport with cash or certified funds. I've had 'em drive up 5 states to haul it home with cash in hand. I'll never buy another one that I can't go look at first again. But, selling has never been a problem. Good Luck

After the auction closes, have them send a non-refundable deposit (whatever you choose). Then have them do a wire transfer from their account to yours. Get a rep from both banks involved and done deal.
I have sold 3 cars cross country this way with no issues. Bank wire transfers are safe and they can't pull funds like with Paypal.
Just my 2 cents.
