Rear Suspension Squeaks
I drive my 87 only about 1,000 miles a year so it sits the majority of its life in the garage. I have noticed rescently that at low speeds I can hear a noise from the rear suspension that sounds like there is something lose. I have jacked it up and checked but everthing feels tight and I see no signs of wear on any parts. Shocks are new and tight. Would like the piece of mond to know what it is or get it fixed. Anyone had a similar condition? Thanks............

You mention a "squeak". First thing I would check is the rubber bushings, especially the dogbones, and the sway bar end links.
If it's a rotational type of squeak, maybe the U-joints or a bearing?

Thanks for the suggestions 92RT. I don't think it is rotational as it usually occurs going over a rough surface at slow speed. I was thinking of upgrading all my bushings over the winter anyway so that may be a good start...........

A good winter project. It's not difficult, but it takes some time.

I think I found my sqeak
I may have found my annoying squeak at last. Are the link bushings in the rear stabalizer bar linkage rubber or metal? I can't find a clear enough picture to determine what material they are. Mine are definitely just metal and there seem's to be some play around the bolts. I'm 90% sure this is my problem, but want to make sure I get the right parts.
Thanks anyone................

I think I have the same issue, at low speeds I hear a noise that you could call a squeak that I never hear at high speeds, and on rough roads it is much more obvious. Seems like you can time it with the rotation of the tires.
please let me know if you find out what is wrong or if you are able to come up with a fix because I would love to be to know exactly what is making that noise and how to fix the problem!
If you end up fixing it and take pictures you would be amazing!
thanks
