Instrument Cluster replacement invalidates mileage?
Will replacing the instrument cluster invalidate the mileage? If yes, then I will need to get it refurbished. Anyone know a reliable place to get that done?

1991 and newer clusters the mileage is in the BCM so no problems.
I believe in the digi dash its an analog odometer and you just bolt it in the new cluster.

I have a 93 so I understand I can replace it without affecting the mileage. Can anyone recomend a refurbish shop or where to buy a replacement?

Yep, mileage is resident in the body control module (BCM or CCM, same thing) in the 90-96 C4's. It's in the instrument cluster 84-89, and in the C5's.

You could have other issues in the arrangements of the information in the LCD and the warning lamps are maybe different BUT yes the mileage would be displayed correctly. The LCD components could possibly be swapped from your current to the later so that you could retain proper orientation of the display. Never had a "hands on" but it sounds "doable"!
