I get the car Friday after work, so I'll talk to them about the window issue. And I'll take some pictures this weekend and try to post them on here.

Thanks for all the nice words. I'm glad I got the convertible. I looked at both, but I just would rather have the convertible. I know there's probably pros and cons with both, but I've always wanted one of these.

I will for sure try to get a picture or two if the issue with the windows. It does it on both sides.
Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Congrats and welcome aboard. Enjoy your Corvette....that's all that matters in the end. Some people are thin skinned if they think someone has crapped on what they drive. Glad to see you aren't like that. Drive the living daylights out of it. Never be a garage queen owner.

Nice to see this thread has gotten back to where it should be. Congratulations on your "new" car! It's sharp!!

And I am curious to see the fix to your window issue. My passenger side needs some adjustment or a new guide perhaps as well. Goes up fine when the door is open, but when it is closed, it wants to "bow out" like yours does...

Look at these http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1969-1996.html
There are 2 of them and they are a wear item. They keep the glass from coming in too far, but they are adjustable. Also the entire regulator is adjustable. If you take the door panel off you will see the screws at the top that allow this.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on what sounds like a nice ride. Before you take delivery, unless you already know how old they are you might want to check the age of the tires. There's a 4 digit date code usually on the inside sidewall that will tell you the week/year of manufacture. We wouldn't want you to take it out for a...um..."spirited drive" if the tires aren't up to snuff. Looking forward to the pics (take a LOT of them...we like pics here)

astepup said that

And here I thought I had the only triple white with a luggage rack.

I just realized that I don't have one single pic of my car with the top up!

Here's the link I used to replace mine. He's right, the toughest part is getting the slotted nut off the back side of the glass. I made a tool out of a peg board hook by bending them close together and into a 90 degree angle and still had to have help holding it while I turned the bolt. If the window is loose front to rear when you press it forward when up (top rear is too far toward the back), then this guide is probably the problem. Feel free to pm me if you have a question when you get started. Chevy part # for passenger side is 10243038 and it was $23. Does not come with felt insert, I reused the old felt Jack

Is it hard to get the door panel off?
Im going to try and yackle the window issue and the door lock issue at the same time, while i have the door panel off.

On mine its not too bad, it helps to have a repair manual. There are some screws that are hiden and having the book helps or at least a diagram showing a breakdown. But the 89 has different door panels from my 93 so hopefully someone else may help. FWIW I think you can buy the whole window regulator assy for about $250 but that would be worst case.

Screw that.

nothing wrong with verts, and if your worried about rips, or tears, here is my solution

i agree if it is what he wanted, then he should be happy about it, i have owned 3 C4's... a coupe, and 2 roadsters, i am in love with my 94 roadster in trip red, and for the age, and mileage at 66K its nice
