Im going to a Turbo Buick show today.....in my Vette :)
I am not sure how I will be recieved here at this event. My first car was a Buick, and when I was 19 I got my first Turbo Buick. I was taught that corvettes were the enemy! At the young age of 19, ;this really sinks in. As I got older I realized that I like more types of cars than I will ever have the opportunity to own in three lifetimes. I am sure that at least half the people at this show will walk right past my car to the next Buick. I enjoy being the black sheep sometimes I guess I will find out how "cool" the Buick community has become. I know I have changed....has anyone else?

I put on a gathering for the local Corvette guys with a nice drive and lunch at a restaurant. I drove the 1974 Pantera. They all thought it was great. Of course, I have driven the Corvettes (2002 Z06 and 1992) to Pantera gatherings. They also got a lot of attention and some disbelief at how low the purchase prices were compared to Panteras.
Go for it and enjoy.

I have been in the Turbo Buick community a long time. It is full of its weirdo's and fanatics. I have formed many good bonds with people over the years. I now hope to do that in the Corvette community. I have always been a Buick guy from day one....since I am a little odd myself I love cool cars, and obviously vettes fit right into that category. I also have a love for the older Mustangs. My father always tried to beat that out of me. Not being a Ford fan as three of his best friends died in a bad wreck in the early 70's. Seeing a 69' Mustang for him is to relive it all over again. Like you Brian I can find something cool in most cars. I must ask you Brian....do you know Trey Crease or Dennis Kirban? We have often discussed a C4 with a GN engine and thought it was soooo cool. Are you the guy they are speaking of? I can tell you that is one sweet set up! Also nowadays your gas mileage must be pretty good as well. Thank you for posting that pic. You made my day. Oh, and btw people were glad I brought my vette. A lot of people were checking it out and liked the dark grey color. They all made comments on the paint. It made me very happy and made me realize I missjudged my fellow Buick guys. Maybe I need to look a little closer at myself. I feel like being a Buick guy for so long that I was doing a bad thing by buying a Vette? I love this car and it moves in ways my Buick could only dream! I do miss the soft ride of my Buick from time to time. I will have ot back soon from its frame off resto. Till then I will be getting to know my Charcoal Vette a little better every day. I am a man of many interests. Add CORVETTES to that list! Thank you for reading.

Pretty sure that is not Brian's. Check out this video and think twice about lining up against him
