Does this include the transmission hump? While I've got most of the interior out, now would be a good time to insulate it. Is there much weight difference between the two?

Yes, it does. No material weight from this mod.

Hi

It replaces the material under your carpet. However you can always put it on top of the deadener for even more dampening

Just so you know, I got the advanced foil sided kit and you would not be able to double up on the stock pad. It would be too thick. This kit by itself under the carpet will be plenty enough. Have I tested it out, not yet, but I've pulled out all my old stuff and this new pad would not go over the old stuff and then carpet on top. Seems very good so far.

I installed this kit throughout the whole cabin, including the door panels. It is a very inexpensive upgrade that everyone should do. I highly recommend it. It's easy because the pieces come cut to fit. The stereo acoustics are much improved, road noise decreased by at least 30%. Doors close with even more of a solid 'thump'! Much more cost effective than the Dynamat product.
