New Exhaust
Hey guys, I recently traded a motorcycle for my 85 Vette and the person who owned it said he only drove it 5 or 6 times in the past year. It is in pretty good shape and runs good. I have owned it for about 1 week now and drive it daily and have noticed a small exhaust leak forming. I have looked into Summit, Jegs and other companies trying to get an idea of what I am going to need, I just thought I would throw it out there and try to get any recomendations on exhaust for the car. Any and all thoughts will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
Not too pick on sound, but if it runs good I'm thinking it should sound good too!

Borla if you can afford em.
Best sound, best performance.
OBX makes a good sounding system too. I heard an SBC with OBX headers, x pipe etc through and it sold me on it.
I'm hopefully going to be doing the install over the next week.
The stainless is absolutely gorgeous and the polishing is perfect, welds seem AAA too.

Check in the exhaust section here: www.corvettecentral.com
Sometimes they have a free shipping offer on exhaust systems. I have purchased 2 of their Magnaflow systems and like the muscular sound they produce. Not too loud and no resonance. Here is a video about their off road system:
Note that this system is NOT quiet!

I finally ordered a pair of these New DynoMax VT mufflers at Summit Racing for $329 plus they have a $75 rebate. They are supposed to be "droneless" Should be here this week.

I don't mean to to hijack the OP's thread but you should put up a thread of your own when you get these. No one on here has talked about this option. The guys on the TBSS forum rave about these for excellent sound and absolutely ZERO drone. If yours work well you can bet I will do the same! Yesterday 09:04 PM
