Anyone going to the Black Hills Corvette Rally?
Just got the hotel rooms booked for both Sioux Falls and Spearfish 
Anybody else plan on attending this year? Due to vacation schedules I can't make it to the hot rod power tour this year so I thought the vette classic would be a great choice. I remember coming back from the black hills in '96 and came over a hill on I-90...and ended up counting 247 corvettes in a row which I thought was so cool 
So this year I'm going to be a part of it. From all the info I've gathered so far it looks to be a great time. By then I'm "hoping" to have a choice as to what to drive out there, but the old '94 did such a great job on the '11 power tour and last years trip to the NCM that it might get driven regardless of what else is in the garage. Just wanted to see if any CF folks are planning to make the trip.

Tuesday July 16th is the welcome in Sioux Falls, the 17th is the caravan out to Spearfish and it runs through Saturday the 20th. The website is www.blackhillscorvetteclassic.com

Can't make it until I retire from my job. I was in Sioux Falls last year and visited wth some of the folks staying at the Ramkota where we were holding our meeting. I own a C4 and only saw one C4 in the entire bunch. 6 more years and I"ll join the party.

I was at a car show here in the Phoenix area a couple of weeks ago and two guys from that area were trying very hard to get me to come up for the event. They were describing everything that goes on during those days and said they really needed more C4s to show up. I would love to come up if I could, but I certainly cannot make it this year.

We went in 2009 and they do it right, had a fun time. The distance is just a bit much for making it a frequent event but maybe one of these years we'll go again. Nice scenery out there too!
