Another exhaust vid thread. This one with Allen's Stainless Dual-dual Chambered type.
I know you all like the exhaust tunes vid. Here is mine, done after the installation of an Allen's Stainless Steel dual-dual chambered system. It is a true dual chambered under the car pipe system, eliminating the resonator and muffle eliminators with chambered power sticks. The tone is definitile louder than the exhaust, but so far I have detected no drone at any speed. I am very pleased with the sound, as it is definitely much better than the stock, but as the rpm settle in cruise it becomes almost just as quiet and I can definitely listen to my anemic stock radio with just one speaker working right now, and also make phones calls with no issues.
Here are before and after vids.

Not sure if these links will work, but working on the youtube uploads right now.
Before, with stock exhaust.
After, with Allen's chambered duals.
Tell me what you think.

I bought it here from a forum member. I got it for a great price; but it is roughly $650.00 if you buy it from Allen.

Well, after some trial and error I was able to fix the links.
I might get better video done later on; but you can get the idea of (what I think is ) a better exhaust tone, and really very nice at highway speeds of 65 to 80 with no drone.

My lap top is connected to my stereo system with an old set of Bose 601. The second video made my house rumble. Are you having drone issues at highway speeds?

It is definitely a muscular rumble. At idle and accelerating through 1st and second it brings a grin to your face as other drivers look for the classic car around them. Third gear and OD are not as loud unless you WOT into them. Settled in cruise at 70 I can listen to the one speaker Blose or carry out a phone call with no issues. Windows down and top off is louder, but then again it was louder with the stock just with road and wind noise or ambient noise at idle. There is no drone induced vibration at any rpm's, which was my fear when installing it. I could not be more pleased with it. I have since cleaned and prepped the stock system (still in great shape) for storage, and only need to paint the mufflers. I will keep it in case I want to return it to stock later on; but sound wise, the best mod I could have done to it.

All stock spring hangers lined up perfectly and fit just like stock. The profile is as tucked up as the stock and better under the center of the car since the chambered pipes are a bit smaller than the resonator, which will protect it from scratching road bumps.

I've got Allen's chambered muffler eliminators on my 85 and the sound is awesome. The build quality is top notch and great customer service. They've been on my car for 3 years now and absolutely no rust. They still look new.
My only complaint is the hanger bracket for the rear. The Z bracket they supply isn't the best and works itself loose with vibration, I have to readjust it every so often. I've been meaning to weld something up, just haven't had the chance. But I would definitely recommend them and buy them again myself.

I had brackets cut and welded for the rear. Have not had any issues at all with them getting loose. Only issue I see so far is that my permanent smile my be causing wrinkles.
Pipes are 3 inch outside, 2 3/4 for the inner chambers I believe.
The packing was absolutely superb, and though I am not sure if that is the way they are sent from Allen, they came that way from the CF member I bought it from. I agree, money well spent and great quality product.
