That's part of the plan........3 car garage (2 car garage with 3 cars just plainly sucks) and I think I want a divorce from neighbors.....

I had the same thoughts. I wound up with 5 acres. That was enough space to build a bigger detached garage too.

The only issue I seem to run into is gravel streets on some of these properties...not Corvette friendly.....😁👎

I know what you mean.

When I lived in Iowa it seemed like all the small side roads were gravel. I agree not nice car friendly.

I will not drive a nice car to visit relatives there. I bought a winter beater Buick for those trips. (because of the gravel and the animals at the farm. Their dogs jump up on the doors and the cats like the hood and roof. Both of them left scratches.)

Although I hate Illinois (and we plan to move) most of the small side roads are paved. For me it doesn't matter since my driveway is on a nice paved US highway.
