I'm 55 and just got my '92 C4 last year. I also bought an '84 at the age of 27 when the C4 debuted, and owned a '79 before that. My experience with the '84 was so bad that I kept it less than a year and never owned another Vette until I picked up the '92 last year. Those later C4's are MUCH better cars, from my experience.
I just turned 36. Got a beat up '77 when I was in high school. Kept it for years and let it go a few summers ago when I couldn't take sitting in an oven and getting 10 mpg. I got into C4's with my first decent paying radio gig in my late teens. It was turquoise metallic and I grew to hate the color thinking at the time it was too feminine so I sold it as soon as it was paid for. I have had various C4s and currently daily drive a C5 but have a C4 or two in various stages of disrepair that I drive for fun. I have always been hooked on the early dashes. I was a kid in the early 80's when things like that were mesmerising and I guess it stuck. as the years have gone by that turqoise color has grown on me and I wish now that I hadn't sold it.
60 years young, just barely able to crawl in and out, glad it has tilt wheel.
First vette was 97C5,looking for racing seats, roll bar and belts to go road racing
with this on.
Bought first C-2 in 1969! I guess that means I can't belong to the younger age group of C-4 owners!
Doesn't mean you can't feel like the younger crowd. I do. Young people who buy C4s appreciate the finer things in life and they're intellectually advanced!
