Dave did I read in another thread that the trans stoped shifting? If thats the case it's a good thing you have a 4-3 going in.

I admit that a black C4 is always a head-turner...it was one of the things I loved about the '84 Z51 I had. Glad to hear that you're keeping it black! It's a PITA to keep clean but well worth the effort.

Later,

Lee

Yes sir, you read correctly. The issue is with the torque converter control solenoid. Once the weather clears I will unplug it and attempt to drive it once again. As of now, there's over a foot of snow on the lawn and the roads are somewhat clear but are salt covered.I cannot tell you how much I despise automatic transmissions.

On nice summer days -- I'd spent an hour or two cleaning - waxing -- get done -- get a beer and lawn chair and sit and watch the new dust fall on it --

I washed the car before winter and within a few days I could see a layer of dirt on the paint...and the car spends its life in the garage, lol.

Not much to update really. I ran started both Corvettes yesterday and backed the 84 out of the garage to air out a little. It was in the 40's last night and while I'm still not ok with taking the car for a drive, it did feel good to back the car out and let it run for a bit:

Do you have the twin turbo v6? That's my work whip. 380hp is a nice step up from those crap crown Vic's. And, nice C4's!

Back seat is not much smaller. Two jackwagons fit nicely back there.

Dt86, its not the twin turbo. its the DOHC 3.7L V6 and the car is all wheel drive.

Great to see another C4 saved from the crusher though non C4 Corvette owners would question the wisdom of restoring a C4.

I'll have more money into the car than its ever going to be worth. But that's half the fun and I regret nothing.

If you only consider money for worth.

I consider the value of the car to be how much I personally enjoy the car overall. But as far as from an outsider's monetary standpoint, the car will most likely be worth less than what I will spend on it.
