Thank you mrmtrtrnd!

Any update on the performance of these units? I'm considering buying one.

Hi drunkshihtzu,
We have sold quite a few of them. Haven't heard anything bad. We used one for a yr in our s/c z28 Camaro with no issues.

I agree this does sound like a good opti so far and I'm helping it stay on the top too so it doesn't get lost.
SacCityCorvette, We all know stuff happens when things get mass produced so I wonder can you at least tell us of all the opit's you have sold can you be honest and tell us the failure rate of these so far?

Smokey, we have sold 36 and have had 2 warranties in the last year.
We have a line on another brand that we might sell instead of Procomp.
We are checking them out for quality.
Thanks
Christian

Thanks Christian! You sound like a person on top of there game and very honest at that.
When the time comes that I need one you will be the one I buy from. As always sound like a great deal too!
Just out of curiosity I have a '92 LT* which is not the vented type. Will the later model LT* vented opti work to replace the non vented I have? or do I have to stay with the non vented.

Hi Smokey,
Thank you for the nice comments.
Here is what it takes to convert to a vented Opti.

I may need an opti, but am having a hard time getting myself to buy one of these for $159 over a Delco. Is a Delco really $300 better?!?!

Smokey.....you can vent a 92 opti yourself. It is not to bad a job. Here is a good article on how.

Thanks! That's a definitely on the "to do list" when it comes time to do my opti.
52,000 and so far she's been good to me without any problems. I have already replaced my water pump as a precaution. So, right now I'm going with the idea of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" with the opti.
