Anyone paint the underside of thier hood? My 93 has plenty of projects going on but the faded underside is starting to bother me. Its whiteish in some areas and it seems like a flat black color?

I spent some time cleaning the underside of the hood (which you'd have to do before painting anyway). I used both a cleaner and a degreaser. Once all of the old crud was off, it didn't look half bad.

I followed it up with an Undercarriage Spray (from Griot's Garage).

Get it clean and you might be happy with the look ...

There was a member here that painted the hood underside to match the top.
Which was a GrandSport blue and white skunk stripe.

Nice for a show car

My choice is OEM black

Looks fantastic.......

i'm for factory black - i re-painted underside of my hood on my 85 using krylon, rattle can, semi-flat black, and the best i could tell, it was a dead match.

I used satin black when I painted my 86 this past summer. Considered going pearl white like the outside, but I got lazy.

Gawd! I just got all-new exterior paint. Now I'm supposed to do the inside of the hood???

painted under my hood semi gloss as well as the fender wells and looks great mine is an 89

Thanks guys i went with satin black. I covered engine sprayed down with degreaser put a small heater on it till it dried and all is good!
