Default Bumper Lettering

I have been considering the rear bumper lettering but would like to see a pic first. Does anyone out there have a red vette with lettering. I was thinking black or chrome.

Thanks in advance.

Black looks good on a red car.

Thanks. I like that. Where did you purchase them? I have seen them at Ecklers for about $35.00. Is that a good price?

I also have the black lettering. Mine are the laser-cut with fairly sharp edges, but I would have ordered the ones that have rounded edges, (if I had known), because they snag on my wash-mitt sometimes.
Besides that, I love them.

I have thought about getting a red set for my white 92 but have a few questions about them.

How does the adhesive hold up? Do they try to come loose after a while?

The adhesive is very strong.
I put mine on in 2005, and they are just as secure today as the day I put them on.

Make sure the area is completely clean before you apply them.
I also used a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol to make sure no traces of wax were left behind.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I will be getting a set.

Didn't 91 and up have the bumber lettering from the factory? Guess you learn something new every day about vettes!

On the blue it looks good, but I don't think it would stand out as much as the black on red, guess it depends on 2vette2's personal preference.

I have the stainless steel on my CGM 2013 and had them on my JSB 2008 and thought they looked great. It just seems to me that Black will look better on a red car. That is what I just ordered.

I also had no problems with the sticking power on the C6's, so hopefully I will have the same result on the C4.

Very true - if there was anodized black polished stainless steel; would've been my first choice, too.

I ordered the black for my yellow 95 last night, I hope it turns as good as the ones I seen in this thread.
